RTFKT Nike Dunk Genesis OG Shoe

RTFKT Nike Dunk Genesis OG Shoe - First Thoughts

I recently got my hands on the Nike Dunk Genesis, specifically the OG edition, which is part of an exclusive run of 6,841 pairs. I was able to score a pair by obtaining the RTFKT x Nike Dunk Genesis CRYPTOKICKS NFT. It's a pretty unique way to access a pair of sneakers, and the whole process definitely adds to the hype and exclusivity of the shoe.

The Dunk Genesis has a bold, chunky design that gives off serious cyberpunk vibes—perfect for anyone into futuristic streetwear. These aren’t your typical Dunks; they have a thick, oversized silhouette that really stands out.

One of the standout features is the mod attachment system. Using a 3D printer, you can create custom mods to personalize your kicks. RTFKT provides a 3D file, allowing creators to tweak and print their own designs, which is an awesome feature if you love customizing your shoes.

In terms of comfort, they’re decent, but I wouldn’t wear them with the mods attached—they affect the fit and make them less comfortable for daily use. Without the mods, though, they’re pretty wearable.

The "vils" (virtual items) feature is also part of the experience, but honestly, they feel a bit unnecessary. However, there’s potential for cool customization down the line, and it’s fun to think about how these could evolve.

Overall, the RTFKT Nike Dunk Genesis OG is a unique, tech-forward sneaker that blends fashion with innovation. The ability to personalize and modify your shoes with 3D-printed attachments is an exciting feature, and I’m looking forward to seeing how creators take this concept even further. If you’re into sneakers with a futuristic twist, this is definitely a pair worth checking out.
